I discovered my passion for art at a very young age, but it wasn’t until middle school that I began to take it more seriously. I owe a part of that to my middle school art teacher, who recognized the gift I had before I even recognized it in myself. During my grade school years, I participated in art contests and even drew my middle school building and presented it to the school as a gift. I started off drawing cartoon characters and eventually evolved into what I love to do today: realism and hyperrealism.
I choose to work in black and white not only because I’ve never been the best at coloring, but also because I love the vintage feel of a black-and-white photo. There is something about the way a pencil or paintbrush can bring a blank surface to life that is so captivating to me.
Creating art is more than a skill or a hobby; it’s an outlet—a safe space where I can express what words often can’t. As you navigate through my website, I hope you have the chance to enjoy a piece of my peace.
